Edthena Earns Awards from District Administration and Tech & Learning
We’re excited to announce that Edthena is closing out the fall semester with two new awards recognizing our success as the leader in video coaching for professional development.
We were named a District Administration Top Product and presented a Tech & Learning Award of Excellence.
In addition to the Readers’ Choice Top 100 Products and Tech & Learning Award of Excellence, this year Edthena won the SIIA CODiE Award for Best Professional Learning Solution and the EdTech Digest Award for Best Professional Development Learning Solution.
“Video is a powerful tool that helps educators at all levels – from pre-service to veteran teachers – engage in meaningful, reflective professional learning,” said Adam Geller, founder and CEO. “Winning these top awards reinforces the impact of our technology on the professional development process and in helping educators succeed.”
The District Administration Readers’ Choice Top 100 Products awards program informs K-12 superintendents and other senior school district leaders about products their colleagues around the country are using to help their districts excel in a variety of areas, including technology, sustainability, and curriculum instruction. Winners were chosen based on 1,500-plus nominations from the magazine’s readers over the past year. Edthena was also chosen as a winner in 2015.
Judy Touzin, director of leader development at IDEA Public Schools (TX), nominated Edthena. Her comments appear on the District Administration website alongside our award.
“The Edthena platform allowed us to implement a weekly coaching cycle that accelerated the growth and development of our instruction leaders in ways that exceeded our expectations,” said Judy. “We have now purchased the tool for all of our principals, aspiring principals and coaches. Everyone is getting better faster.”
Tech & Learning’s Awards of Excellence, now in its 34th year, is a leading educational awards program that recognizes innovative products that break new ground, as well as those that have received significant enhancements. The winners, including Edthena, were chosen by a panel of Tech & Learning advisors who tested hundreds of entries.
We believe these awards are a reflection of becoming an integral part of the teacher induction, mentoring, and professional learning communities. Our goal has always been to help teachers get better at teaching, and it’s humbling to receive public appreciation for our continued work.
