Jim Knight: Video Is The Most Significant Tech Innovation in Education in Decades (Part 1 of 3)
Jim Knight – a research associate in the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning and director of the Kansas Coaching Project – has spent nearly twenty years studying how teachers get better at teaching.
Recently, Edthena CEO Adam Geller sat down with Jim Knight to talk about his new book – Better Conversations: Coaching Ourselves and Each Other to Be More Credible, Caring, and Connected – and about how video can support a teacher coaching process. During their discussion, Jim touches on just how influential he thinks video is as a tool for teacher development and learning.
“It’s extremely powerful and a disruptive technology that has great potential, not just professionally, but personally,” Jim Knight says. “I’ve come to believe that video is the most significant technological innovation in education in maybe decades.”
